Teppei Arima (有馬 哲平 Arima Teppei) is the main protagonist. Prior to the series, Teppei grew up in a happy family with Mr. Kobayashi (who is a noodle shop owner) and Kanae Kobayashi. One day, he learns that his parents were killed in an automobile accident when he was coming home from school, but he does believe that it is the truth. He is then picked up by Isshin Arima who is the owner of the Arima Financial Combine, a very wealthy and perhaps the most powerful industrial group in Japan. Isshin then adopts Teppei intending to make him the successor to the Arima corporation as his mother was the original successor. To prepare him for succession his grandfather enrolled Teppei in the most prestigious private school in Japan.

Teppei Arima seems to have a black hair with purple(ish) eyes.
Personality[]
In the anime, he is typically portrayed as any other protagonist in a harem, kind, clumsy, skilled and brave.
In the adult OVA, he is noted to have a sadistic personality in bed and is good at taking advantage of Sylvie by using her own shame, believing that a woman like her can be tamed in one night by him.
History[]
After his parent's murder, Teppei agrees to join his grandfather in the hope that through his influence he can find the details of the person that murdered his parents and seek revenge. Isshin then announced, much to Teppei's surprise, that he is to become the successor to the Arima corporation. He is enrolled in the most prestigious private school in Japan.
Teppi is also engaged to Sylvia van Hossen before even meeting her as they bond significantly through their swordplay and they are the only two at the school who pose a challenge to one another in that skill.
Several women are interested in him and taking Yū Fujikura (Teppei's maid) advice, but he does not immediately reject their affections, but instead of treats them as 'opportunities'.
Relationships[]
Charlotte Hazelrink[]
Teppei rescued Charlotte when she was being attacked by a gang of thugs. After being saved by him, Charlotte became extremely fond of Teppei, constantly hugging and teasing him. At times, Charlotte is completely clueless whenever she creates an awkward situation for Teppei, much to his and Sylvia's chagrin.
In the anime, the two are implied to end up together. While it is up to speculation what her future with Teppei will be, there is no doubt that she would be close friends for time to come.
Sylvia van Hossen[]
Initially, Sylvia is slightly hostile towards Teppei, although this was quickly dropped when she learnt that he was her fiancée. As the anime progresses, she is drawn towards his courage and compassion. This is further enhanced by their passion for swordsmanship.
On the night before the rescue operation to save Charlotte, although it was not verbally said, Sylvia expressed her love for Teppei by kissing him.
In the adult OVA, the two end up together.
Yū Fujikura[]
Yū is appointed to be Teppei's head maid by Isshin. Over the course of the anime, she admires his concern for his friends and is able to understand his hopelessness when Charlotte is kidnapped Hartmann and Josephine.
Seika Hōjōin[]
Teppei and Seika’s relationship was immediately hostile due to the bad blood between their families. After finding out, Teppei tries to bury the hatchet with her. Following this, Seika seems to have developed feelings for Teppei, becoming charmed by his goodwill and kindness.
On the day that Arima Hill gets assaulted by Josephine's army of 'rebel soldiers', Seika kisses him, just like Sylvia did days later.
Isshin Arima[]
Isshin is Teppei’s grandfather and became his adopted father following his parent’s death. The two are on good terms and Isshin is raising Teppei as his successor to the Arima Corporation.
Kanae Kobayashi[]
Teppei's mother. She is killed in a traffic accident early in the story.
Mr. Kobayashi[]
Teppei's father. Unfortunately for him, he is also killed in the same traffic accident that his wife was in.
Trivia[]
- Teppei is a good swordsman who prefers sword-drawing techniques and he excels at quick drawing techniques.
- Teppei's voice actor in the anime is Takuma Terashima.
